Champion Trees

The sun came out again today and we took Trudy to see our Cumbrian Champion Trees at Stagshaw.
She loved the drive over through our ‘mountains’ and the autumn colours.
The champion trees were looking splendid and we walked right up to Jenkin’s Crag for views of the Langdale and Windermere.
Unfortunately Ambleside was blocked with tourists wanting to watch the Xmas lights switch on, so we couldn’t get to the tea shop for Bath buns. Fortunately there was honey cake at home, which we enjoyed while watching England squeak a tie with the All blacks, so a great day!
