Water always wins

Took Tsuken to the airport this morning; he is now back in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. It's been levely having him stay with us even if only for a few days.

This afternoon i went for a jog to Tangiwai Reserve and back. Overnight a fairly major storm hit Auckland with the worst impact more in the east of the city. Even so the winds near here must have been very strong. The extra shows the result of one gust.  secondary trunk was blown off a large tree, landing across a picnic table.

My blip shows the power of water gouging out channels in the gravel track linking Rimutaka Place to Huia Road. The photo shows one of the steeper portions of the track.

(Note: for my title I've used the title of a book S is reading.)
