A Fancy...

……………………………..Seedhead

A quick visit to the garden while there was a break in the weather.

While photographing this sheltered seedhead a bust of sun broke through the grey clouds. The wind has since blown all seeds off the stalk and its looking a tad naked!

We should have been sailing across the Cook Strait to visit family in Wellington today, but an unexpected cancellation due to staff shortages of two sailing every day this coming week and the other sailings being fully booked for more than a week it looked doubtful we would get to the North Island.
Fortunately we have managed to get a booking for Tuesday with an opposition ferry company, but it does mean staying Monday night in Picton as the checkin time is by 6.30am at the latest on Tuesday.

Thank you for your response to yesterday’s cluster of tiny feathers.
