What. A. Night.

Updated to add the photo I really meant to use!

Despite rain, roadworks and medical issues it was a very happy crowd of 90 plus gathered to celebrate with Michael and Ali.

The weather meant there were several road closures including the main road between Blairgowrie (where we were staying) and Coupar Angus where the reception was taking place. The detour was almost 4 times the distance to travel. However we all made it in one piece.

We took Phin to my friend Susan’s house to meet her doggy daycare lady. He took to her like a duck to water and went away quite happily. He enjoyed a long walk on the beach and an ice cream - the video she took is hilarious!

Roads were clear en route to the hotel until we hit the roadworks on the main road through Blairgowrie. Our room was on the old fashioned side but was clean and the bed was massive!

We enjoyed a late lunch with some of friends before getting ready for the evenings festivities.

The evening started with cutting the cake followed, a wee speech by the best man and the first dance, a wee Gay Gordons. The band were fabulous, great music and kept the dance floor full. I took several videos and relatively few photos but was pleased to get one with Ali and her mum. There was a photographer and I’m looking forward to seeing the official shots.

The evening finished off with a rendition of Loch Lomond and a mass singalong to Caledonia before we headed for the buses.

Didn’t get to bed till after 1, footsore but elated. Backblipped Sunday afternoon.
