Crumbs

Late to bed (around 1.30) and had a slightly restless night. Either too hot, too cold or too thirsty (wonder what caused that!).

Up at just after 9 to get organised for breakfast as checkout was 11. A lovely cooked breakfast hit the spot as did the 2 coffees I practically inhaled. Had a lovely chat with friends who were at the reception yesterday.

We got the bags together, checked out and sat in the bar whilst our friend Stuart gave Mr PHL a lift back to the hotel in Coupar Angus to collect our car. Once loaded up we took another friend Andy back to the hotel to get his car before heading home to Edinburgh.

Heard from the children who were staying in various different places, all good apart from Miss PHL reporting a swollen foot. She tripped outside her hotel and went over on her sandalled foot. It’s quite swollen and slightly bruised (I’ve seen pictures!) so she iced it when she got home and has been resting. As of this evening it’s getting quite stiff so she is waiting for a call back from NHS24.

The newlyweds are safely home and very grateful for the many gifts given to them yesterday.

We stopped off at my friend Susan’s house to collect Phin who had enjoyed two long beach walks and behaved impeccably. Good boy! He wasn’t very keen to come to us at first but we were in the good books by the time we got home.

Picked up a burger and chips takeaway on the way back to the house around 3 and consequently didn’t feel hungry at dinner time so I’ve had toast with a glass of milk.
