Brancaster Beach after the rain

It rained overnight and was still raining this morning, so we did not rush out to go for a walk. I changed the bedding and washed it as next weekend Adam is coming to stay with his fellow PhD students, all five of them that were selected for a study grant by the Wellcome Trust and so are on comparable research programs. They usually have a weekend away together once a year and have stayed in Norfolk previously.

By late morning the sun came out so we went to Brancaster beach for Xena to have a last run along the beach. It was chilly but enjoyable as we were suitably dressed in warm jackets and woolly hats. We watched someone who was landboarding - surfing with a kite on the sand using a large type of skateboard- it looked like great fun. You can see the beach here at low tide with that landboarder in the distance.

Leaving Xena to snooze at home we went to The Hero pub in Burnham Overy Staithe for Sunday lunch. It was quite delicious! It was recommended to us and it was the first time we have been there, and we will be back.

We had already cleaned and tidied up so all we had to do after lunch was pack the car and then set off home again. We had an easy journey home again without any traffic holdups.
