Little butterfly

Tiny Tuesday.......Memorabilia.

A tiny lace butterfly brooch from
Kantjuweeltje, Philipstockstraat, Brugge.
A beautiful reminder of our first visit to that wonderful town. We have been back a couple of times since, but the first time 33 years ago was the most memorable.
The first time we ever had a Menu Dégustation including wines with each course.
We certainly pushed the boat out!
( MrC says he had to almost carry me across the square back to our hotel! I don’t remember!)

The restaurant was called De Zilveren Pauw.
Menu
Lotta Grapefruit coulis
Consommé.
Oyster and duck liver julienne of leek noodles
Salmon, scallops and tomato sauce
Pheasant, dear, hare
Brie warm honey hazelnuts and almonds
Warm pastry strudel, fresh figs and vanilla ice cream.
Wines:
White Sancerre
Red Bourgogne
White Tokai Pinot Gris
