It's a bit hard to grasp the scale of this boat, but it's a racing yacht, which is going to take part in the Route de Rhum, which start here in Saint-Malo. These boats are massive and can sail at incredible speeds across the oceans. In this instance it's a single crewed race across the Atlantic to the French Caribbean. I can't take credit for the picture, my wife and her mum watched these giants enter the harbour through the sea lock here (a very tight squeeze) while I had to do work...
