Pain control

Pain control is a subject very close to my heart (and other organs) 

I had two procedures yesterday with two Consultant Surgeons operating simultaneously. 

A sort of Buy One get One Free

The morphine and paracetamol were just not doing the trick for me so the Pain Fairy came to see me. 

She set up a patient controlled pump for me containing Oxycodone (heroin) and combined with a drip of paracetamol it has given me a degree of comfort 

The skill level and dedication of the staff leaves me breathless and drowsy too. 

Here you see the pump plus the IV drip with a hand control allowing me to deliver 1 milligram at a time every 5 minutes. 


Such a relief.
