Le Corbusier - Maison La Roche

J and I visited Maison La Roche this morning. This apartment was designed by Le Corbusier and built in the early 1920s. It is just a short walk from our apartment. I had visited it back when we lived here in 2011 and it was the subject of a blip back then too. It's interesting to see it with the sun pouring in 10 years ago as that was definitely not the case today! I'm pleased to say that they have done away with the blue booties for visitors though, so we just trekked in the rain water from outside... It's a very austere design but I found it clean and appealing. 

After that, some grocery shopping, some work. The sun came out for a little while in the afternoon and J went on a 10km run along the quais.
