Kittiwake

This is one of my favourite sea birds.. its call sounds like its name and it is one of the noisiest sea birds around!!

It nests on tiny ledges on the cliffs and their eggs are pear shaped so that if they are knocked they tend to stay on the ledge.. clever stuff! With the spring being so late there are no eggs in evidence as yet.
