Forestry Walk

Although damp the forecast was for a nice day so we decided on a local walk. About ten minutes drive from home is Lydbrook (Gloucestershire) in The Royal Forest of Dean, and our walk started off near the Jovial Collier pub and within minutes we were on an old railway track surrounded by lovely autumn woods.

We did get lost and the two hour walk ended up being three and covering about six miles. Loads of cyclists were on the trails and one helped guide us back on track. A fellow Cardiffian, he works at The famous Rockfield Studios and his dad runs the village pub in Penallt (Monmouth). We will try and get there for a meal!

The photo' I like best is of tall trees with beautiful autumn colours infront.
