Old tractor,ruin at Sandwick,Orkney

A stunning day here on Orkney, can't really believe our luck as we were expecting bad weather.
A very foggy start to the day but it had cleared by 8 o' clock.Found a lovely graveyard and ruined chapel,if you can call a graveyard lovely. It was very interesting with beautifully carved gravestones.
I had a super seafood platter at Skerries Bistro,Hot smoked salmon smoked the night before by Hamish also the founder of the Tomb of the otters.Hamish is very passionate about the tomb with plenty more to find.Several skulls, human and otters have also been found among the 2000 bones found so far.A wonderful polished stone in the shape of an otters head must have been the best find.Even got to hold teeth and bones that were 5000 years old and looked in remarkable condition.
Ended up at Sandwick, a stunning bay with seals and this rusty old tractor in front of a ruin covered in lichen. So many interesting things to see and do especially good in the sunshine!
