wild & precious life

Street food market

We had a fab day celebrating our daughter's 24th birthday.

It started with an escape from Electric City ( http://https://www.escape-key.co.uk/ )which transported us back in time to 19th century Newcastle and Joseph Swan's invention of the incandescent light bulb. The 6 of us got out with 14 minutes to spare, which was very satisfying.

We then walked through the Christmas market, down to the Quayside, crossing the river via the Swing Bridge, all the way to this outdoor street food market http://https://www.bytheriverbrew.co/hawkers-market/. What a great location with its view of the Tyne bridge and historic Newcastle. We all chose different food: sushi, pizza, Greek and Indian.

We then walked up what felt like a million stone steps to the castle and back to the busy Christmas market for delicious crepes.
