Purple Finch

I was pleased to see a male purple finch out front today. It's often hard to tell a purple finch from a house finch, but I have recently learned that the bill of the house finch is curved on the top, as opposed to this guy's bill which is clearly flat on top. So I'm calling this a purple finch.
