Shelf Fungus

I'm not sure what sort of shelf fungus this is, but I've been eyeing it for weeks as we walked the path along the hayfield. This morning finally decided to step into the woods and take its photo. The genus is trametes, and it's probably trametes versicolor - commonly known as Turkey Tail. But that might usually be more colorful.
