Life on the go

Puppy from the East

Just after lunch today I tore myself away from the Christmas Jigsaw and listening to Cliff Richards new Christmas album on Spotify to help Sue put the plants in the summer house for the winter.

She had heard on the radio that the ‘Beast from the east’ was about to return and we certainly did not want to loose the geraniums.

After we had finished the job I wondered when the ‘Beast’ was going to arrive. I found this very interesting article on a weather web site about ‘Media Exaggeration’ To quote

“one sure-fire way to know that winter is about to arrive in the UK, it's the sudden appearance of sensationalist headlines warning of an incoming snowpocalypse in the form of a new 'Beast from the East'.

They went on to say more like a ‘Puppy from the East’

Still, a good job done, the plants needed to be put to bed for the winter anyway.
