Oswestry Christmas Parade

This morning I went to see the Oswestry Christmas Parade going through the town centre. There were over 40 floats from various organisations and businesses, most throwing sweets to the children in the crowd as they passed by.  It's organised by the Rotary Club which gives money to local good causes.

There was a military traction engine and trailer from 1914 which was great to see and flames were rising from burners on Linstrand's balloon factory float.  I also liked the photo of the the elf on her phone in the middle of the parade with all sorts going on around her!

On the way back I called at O's new house for a cup of tea.  They had watched the parade from a few yards from home as they live in the town centre and I had collected a box full of sweets which now live in a cupboard to be rationed!
