Lined up for tasting…

Much peeling and chopping ensued this morning in preparation for tomorrow’s family lunch with 10 adults and 7 children.

Beef was cooked yesterday and I was chopper in chief of potatoes, parsnips, carrots and cabbage as well as chief washer up. Meanwhile Susan was chief entertainer for three year old O.

We did find some time for a walk towards the Pentlands in the unexpected sunshine this afternoon along new routes for us.

I was torn between a shot of Susan playing with toy cars while O looked on or another of a Pentlands skyline as the day drew to an end or tonight’s whisky selection.

We were unable to book the Scottish Malt Whisky Society for tonight, instead we’re just about to start our home tasting session which is why todays blip is being posted now. The whisky selection won out and will repay some careful study of their names and obtuse tasting notes, if you can read the details.

Chris flies from California today for the next three monthly meeting in Manchester. He’s down in London for a few days so I may catch up with him one evening.

Some more great photos and videos of Madison today with her cousin and all wrapped up papoose style. Madison and Carly will be well looked after by her family.
