Christmas Parade

A breezy morning, and showers. A better afternoon, calm and clear skies tonight.

A fine lazy morning, finally got out walkies when the showers eased.  Me and Sammy headed into town in the afternoon.  A quiet evening at home, feet up and fire roaring.

A fine walk around town, but it was busy, people everywhere, especially around Da Street and the Esplanade.  Today was the Christmas parade.  Santie, as he's known locally here in Shetland, arrived to Victoria Pier with the R.N.L.I. lifeboat.  He then joined the parade with elves, Olaf the snowman and many more Christmassy floats.  A tad warm for real snow, but there was artificial snow floating around.  Great to see a huge crowd turnout, plenty of happy faces to greet Santie and the gang.  Taken at the Market Cross, Lerwick.
