Auld Brig of Keith

The bridge is said to have been built in 1609 by Thomas Murrsy and his wife Janet Lindsay in memory of their son who was drowned whilst crossing the Isla by means of a ford.

Following their battle with Jacobite soldiers in 1746 a group of Campbells took refuge under a large boulder under the bridge - still known as Campbells' Hole,
