Father Christmas comes to town

At lunchtime on a very sunny and cold day Father Christmas and some of his helpers arrived by boat in St Ives. It's an annual event here; my kids now in their 30s, were all captivated by what was then an early evening arrival, with sparkling lights and the magic of darkness. However, it was easily as magical to see him arrive today in sunshine accompanied by Mr Frosty, the Grinch, elves, and reindeer in canoes.

On landing at the town quay, FC was greeted by the mayor dressed in red robes that rivalled his! With a huge crowd following, they processed through the town. They were very chatty and jolly, greeting everyone - families, people without kids, shop workers. It was such a joyous occasion, people couldn't help smiling and laughing at the sheer silliness of it all.

It was a tough choice of main blip but in the end the little boy waiting on his dad's shoulders won out. With only a few extras left this year I tried to track his journey, I love the one of the little girl.
