and finally…

Our family is not one for luxury holidays (or luxury anything, really). But it seems we have made an exception. I can’t remember exactly whose idea it was to build a spa break into our Christmas plans - maybe it was a plan hatched in the heady post-wedding hazy days of summer when Sarah and Chris had been to a spa hotel in Troon for their honeymoon - anyway, here we are at Stobo Castle, all 8 of us, and having a wonderfully relaxing time.

We have tried all the facilities before and after dinner - sauna, steam rooms, hydro spa, swimming pool and the outdoor hot tub. Dinner was amazing too - a special vegan menu with four choices of each course.

The photo shows Joe and Kim on the main stairs, with the huge Christmas tree which was just put up today.

I think I’ll sleep well tonight :-)
