The Angle of the Sun

The sun was streaming through the window and making interesting shadows on the ceiling. The angle of light must be unusual today, as I have never noticed this particular pattern. I was hoping for a rainbow today as we've had some downpours and showers, interspersed with fluffy white clouds and sunshine, but we were never in the right place at the right time.

We made the trip to see Kathy this morning, having changed 'our' day from Thursday to Monday. This has resulted in even more confusion over what day it is! I'm usually pretty aware of what day it is because of Blipfoto, but John, who has a thing about getting places on time, well ,he has a thing about leaving far more time to get there than I do seems to be quite clueless about what day of the week it is.

We are probably the only people in the world who still receive bills in the mail and pay them with a check sent back in the mail. I'm trying to convince John that  going paperless might be a good idea, but he doesn't trust his computer to do it, and I'm having trouble convincing him that I'm not quite sure I trust HIM to do it!

We drove home discussing whether to see Kathy more often. An interesting conversation ensued in which I tried to explain how what he learns from Kathy should be transferred to what he does to teach his body to use muscles he has avoided using all his life. Just as we seem to think in ways that are alien to each other, we also have diametrically opposite body types. The problems he develops almost all have to do with the fact that he is very stiff, while my problems are due to having hypermobile joints.

I think I have a hypermobile brain, not necessarily a good thing, while John is the self professed thinker in numbers! Interesting to think about the body/brain connection, but difficult to explain to someone of the opposite persuasion!

We dragged the tree into the house today, but didn't get much farther than that. Decorating it involves climbing a ladder and getting down boxes of ornaments and decorations.. It's the perfect place to store these things except for the one time of year when they are used!

Many thanks to the combined efforts of laurie54 who organizes the hosts for the year, and for all those who have volunteered to host this interesting challenge., including Carolina who is hosting this month.
