This is the time of the year when many of our native British trees bloom.
Most people would be able to identify the upright candilabra flowers as those from the Horse chestnut or conker, or the sweet smelling purple or white flower clusters of the lilac but as for the rest......
These beautiful flowers are from the Plane tree, and they go on to develop into round, spiky hanging fruit about the size of a ping pong ball,
At the moment they are about the size of a pea, and I think very beautiful, and really worthy of being today's blip.
