Looks Like the Hummers Are Staying for the Winter

The tree and the lights are up, thanks to my son and granddaughter. Next come the boxes of ornaments out of the attic. I like finding all the old things and remembering their stories.

Watching: Attorney Woo
Watching: Sky Ladder, a documentary about Cai Guo-qian, a Chinese artist who works with fireworks in ways you can't even imagine. He has an empire of factories and assistants that remind me of Guo Pei, the designer whose show we saw recently in San Francisco. They both have enormous ideas and are able to mobilize the resources to make them happen.
