James Watt, Artist

Linking online

The opportunity to link up with other schools online is changing how we communicate and opening up a host of opportunities.

Today has been a day of talking to teachers in over half a dozen local authorities, in different sectors, with different curriculum priorities, sorting out the details for their visits to the workshops at the Beacon in June. They were also sharing ideas as the day progressed, in moments grabbed here and there, because it was all done through email, through the new Twitter and Facebook pages, and many of those teachers will also be checking Blipfoto tonight.

It's a joy to witness their enthusiasm about their own ideas and to see them getting involved in each other's ideas, exploring the paintings of James Watt, and it's going to be excellent to see them all at the workshops, when they'll be meeting the artist and, I have no doubt, will have lots of questions to ask him.

Great to have you all on board!
