Smashing sewers

Next door has had a lot of skips recently. The most recent skip delivery apparently smashed the sewer cover in their drive to pieces.

I’m not sure whether they’ve noticed or not, but Mr Pandammonium did. He covered it with a sheet of wood and one of the horrible big square pots that I had not smashed up, and reported it to the water board.

They’ll send someone out within the week to see what wants doing.

We’re having a cold snap. My mam reported snow, but we, of course, only have frost, which must be scraped off Henry.

There’s a dearth of dried herbs and spices in Tesco. I wanted black peppercorns last week, and I still want them this week. Huge swathes of the shelves were empty.
