Roses on bark

Had an appointment today that was brought forward due to a cancellation.  I thought it rather sad to find this bunch of roses in the waiting room....a place where people would surely want to feel uplifted, not presented with end-of-life statements.  They made a rather nice picture though.........blended with another I took today of beautifully textured tree bark.  I liked the slightly grungy defiance they created together.
