Particularly Nasty Weather

We decided to go to Telford today. Dull, wet and 2 degrees. A good day to go shopping, or so we thought.

By the time we got to Much Wenlock we were engulfed in dense freezing fog. Everything shrouded in a thick coating of ice. Wow, what a difference in a few miles.

We got to Buildwas Bank, a big hill leading into Telford and we were in blizzard conditions. Appalling driving weather and I was getting anxious. A gritter lorry went past and the snow just kept coming, settling where the grit had been spread. Madness.

We agreed to turn back, and miraculously as we got within a few miles of home the temperature rose, no snow or freezing fog. Local weather conditions have never seen such extreme changes!

We agreed to stop at a pub we have never been in before and have a warming cup of coffee. Or two.

It was brilliant. Hence the collage.
The Feathers, Brockton. Welcoming warm and cheery.  A lovely place to stop and certainly another one on our list for future reference.

Back home to let Hollie out, light the fire and settle down to another exciting evening of TV.

Country Life. You can't beat it.

Also, as well, we found out Santa's first language is North Polish. Who'd have thought it eh?
