Lady’s Tower

at Ruby Bay, Elie.

The tower was built in the 1770s as a summer house for Lady Janet Anstruther. Apparently she was a bit of a character and enjoyed skinny dipping, so when the notion took her to bathe she would send a servant into the nearby village of Elie to ring a bell to warn people to stay away.
