In search of snow ….

…… but finding sunsets!

When the skies clear this afternoon it comes as something of a surprise, and we set off in search of snow. The planned trip up the valley is abandoned, however, as even the lower hills are hardly visible through thick haze.

Instead, it’s a trip to West Shore where there’s hope of better light, and at least we can have a brisk winter walk along the beach. And of course, by now, the sun is sinking low , bathing the beach in light. It does little to take the chill away, but is very welcome  after two days of dreary dampness.

As always, I’m surprised by the beauty that unfolds once the sun dips behind the Carneddau, too far south now to drop into the sea.
