This sort of sums up my day.
I tried to make a call first thing, but twice the call was dropped so I emailed instead.
It was good fun at The Climbing Unit, the blacks had been newly set for last Friday's bouldering competition and everyone, all six of us lol, were trying them out. I think I finished three or four!
No sooner had I got back home than Bossman rang asking me if I'd heard anything from Anglian - which I hadn't - and wanting to know if I could pay him any more money. He even said he'd knock £1,000 off the bill if I settled. I agreed to phone Anglian to see if I could get an estimate from them to replace the patio door sill, it's three weeks since I requested it.
"You are caller number 16 in the queue, your call is important to us." I put it on speaker and made myself some lunch.
Eventually I was caller number 1 and picked the phone up. Emma at Anglian was very helpful and said she'd do all she could to expedite things. Sure enough an hour later I was emailed my estimate and I'll pay them tomorrow.
I've transferred the balance to Bossman and hope that'll be okay with him because I'm not paying any more. I hope he doesn't come round and remove all the fence panels! I'd still be prepared to write a favourable review for his website because the job's been done well, mostly, and any problems have been sorted out amicably.
Extra: all the snow we've had today, not much!
