Day 8 in the hospital

We had a good sleep at home, but were back in the hospital by 10.30am as brother and sister thought Mum was deteriorating. However, Mum rallied and the panic was over.

Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren have visited today and Mum was aware they were there and able to acknowledge them with a nod of her head.

Just after 2pm Mr MacD and I headed across the road to have a sandwich and a coffee.  The café is in the university building and there was obviously a graduation taking place, so a photo or two of the graduates was taken for today’s blip.  They all seemed happy and excited, with some family members beaming proudly. Those in the gowns with red and gold on the front edge and wearing rather splendid hats with gold tassels were PhD graduates.

We’re now settling down for the night, which hopefully will be restful, despite the uncomfortable chairs.
