Aust

This is the village of Aust in South Gloucestershire. Lorna Lloyd visited Aust in May 1940. She mentions cooking sausages over a fire there on Monday 13th May in her war diary entry on the following date. 

We acquired* this photograph through Tweedy for our blipper-sourced album of places mentioned in Lorna Lloyd's Diary of the war (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series). Thank you Tweedy!
