A Christmas Bouquet

This is the finished bouquet of flowers that Maggie has made for her mum’s Christmas. The flowers were made from egg boxes and Maggie chose the colours and painted them, then we secured them with buttons from my gran’s old button bag. Pipe cleaners made the stems. We’re really pleased with how it turned out.
Geordie and I walked to St Monans and back on the coastal path this morning in -5 degrees. The sun appeared from behind a cloud for our return journey which helped a bit. But it was a lovely dry walk surrounded by heavy frost and no wind. We met one man and his dog, and not another soul.
We walked along to the village Post Office today hoping for second class stamps, to post Christmas cards, but the sign said they still had none, so I decided to resort to first class. Waited in the queue for almost 20 minutes to be told they no longer have first class stamps either. It’s all pretty frustrating and annoying.
