Tree Bark

We drove up to Hamilton wood this morning for our walk. It’s only a mile outside the village. It was bitterly cold although the temperature was higher than yesterday, but today there was an easterly wind. It was dry and sunny though and the light through the trees was lovely.
In the afternoon we went out delivering cards. Mitch was my last stop at the other end of the village. I had arranged to help him sort out some toys that he’s had in the attic since his family were young. He plans to give them to the Ukrainian children staying in the village. However, when I got there he wasn’t at home. I’ve since tried phoning him with no luck. Will try again later.
We walked home along the shore, and back by the park.
