Spanish Quarter

I sometimes think of this arched building in the main street of Lennox Head as 'the Spanish Quarter' of town. It's not a memorable building, but Lennox has almost no interesting architecture. Nevertheless, the main street is looking much better now. The Ballina Shire Council has nearly finished a major 'village beautification' project. The ugly old overhead power lines have been put underground, street-side gardens created and new paving installed. The final touches are now being applied - planting of gardens and street trees. This quite advanced pandanus palm has just been planted - along with a hundred or so other small trees and many smaller plants.
