Pictures of the Year

The December issue of the excellent National Geographic magazine has just arrived. I'm looking forward to looking at their pictures of the year. The cover picture shows a military emergency specialist collecting volcanic samples on the Island of Las Palmas, following the massive volcanic eruption in 2021.  As this year draws to a close it will be a good time to review my own  images and think about what my pictures of the year would be! The new year will also be a time to look ahead and think about the way forward.
