Quod oculus meus videt

Another Milestone

A stunning day, albeit bitterly cold for a walk along the Roaches and Dane Valley Way in the Peak District.  Despite the brilliant conditions we hardly saw anybody all day.  A keen northerly wind dropped temperatures down to about -8 Deg C when you took into account the chill factor.

The walk was just under 10 miles, plenty far enough in the conditions which had slippy sections along with compacted snow.  I've added a few extras to give a feel for the sights, including a view of the large dish at Jodrell Bank Observatory, turned towards the sun and glinting in the far distance.

I've posted this as my 4000th Blip, and noticed that three five fellow blippers have also been celebrating the same milestone.  It's a cliche, but I could never have envisaged still being her after almost 11 years (I have another celebration in just over 2 weeks).  It's testament to the community of blippers that so many of us are still here.
