Connah's Quay

The mere's are still frozen at Burton so there is very little wader activity while the paths are still treacherous with black ice so many of them are closed. This afternoon there was a burst water pipe in the toilets so we ended up closing early although in reality this didn't make a great deal of difference because there weren't too many new arrivals.

After official closing time there was a little get together for the volunteers which was good fun and I was on the winning quiz team.

The photo is the usual sunset shot looking towards the power station at Connah's Quay with the steam/smoke obscuring Moel Fammau
