Quality Street anyone?

Today I was at a pre-Christmas event and used the opportunity to take a number of photographs.  My camera is manual, so no auto focus etc!  I prefer it that's way so that I can choose the settings according to what I envisage I want.  In this case the lens was wide open at f1.4 and I knew that the lights on the Christmas tree would sparkle in a blurry haze, our focus is therefore kept to the front of the image.
