a lifetime burning

Crumbs

Me, with covid, watching Corvus Corone, who's just stolen his breakfast from the gulls.

Our very elderly neighbour puts out food scraps for the birds after his breakfast.  Inevitably they are hoovered up by the gulls (various species) corvids (carrion crows, jackdaws and magpies) and the fat pigeons.  Any small garden birds would be risking life and limb if they even dared to try to get anything.  This crow regularly sits on one of our trees, waits for the auspicious moment and swoops in to take what it wants.  The gulls seem to treat him with a degree of respect, possibly because he has lots of friends nearby.

The shot is taken through double glazing, and while I've done my best, its far from perfect.  Still, nice to use the big camera for a change.  Strangely, its so much easier than using the phone!

The covid symptoms have eased slightly, I've only a slight temperature, but will be taking it very, very easy as I've no energy and I'm still stuffed full of cold like symptoms.
