The Memento.

I may be a little inaccurate on the details, but the gist of the story is true.

Some time ago, a young girl on a school trip to Cheddar picked some wild flowers, it was allowed in those days. Later in the day she was in a souvenir shop with her friends and they were all buying presents to take home for their Mums, but this child had run out of money. Seeing her distress, the lady in the shop said, "Those are lovely flowers, they're my favourites, please could I buy them from you?" And so the girl was able to buy her Mum a present.

The girl was, of course, my Big Sis, and this little dog is one of the many mementos that The Old Lady will definitely be taking with her if she moves into a care home. She has already been giving thought to such matters.
