Silly Saturday ...

... scarlet splash.

We've been hearing that the snow geese are migrating through our area on their way south so today we went out looking for some.  Richard saw some this morning at Green Pond so we drove by there on our way to Plainfield Rail Trail for a walk.  The snow geese were still at Green Pond but the lighting was against us so we didn't bother stopping.

Our walk at Plainfield was a short one due to the cold and the snow on the trail.  We could only walk so far before the trail became impassable ... by me at least.  But it was still nice to get out after the past week of terrible weather.  There's more storms coming this next week so our walks might be limited again.  Which means limited photo ops.

As we started our walk we were passed by this group of walkers.  I liked the one scarlet coat among the otherwise drab setting. I've added a slight illustrator look as the photo needed something! And I like the effect!

After our walk we drove to Nazareth to check on the snow geese at the quarry that they like.  We saw lots but the view is totally blocked by trees so getting photos is really impossible.  As we drove through Nazareth there were lots flying above us so we stopped to get some photos.  The sky was very gray so most of my pictures weren't great.  But I was impressed by this new camera's ability to focus.
