Iceberg calving

The last of the ice for now. The thaw has started since lunchtime. I'll be happy to have clear pavements and easier driving conditions, but I guess the snow has been quite pretty.

L and I walked out beyond the Plaids along the foreshore, and then came back to town through the golf course. Not too many people out and about, and frankly it wasn't really properly light all day.

We had lunch in Platform 1864, and then walked up to the Morangie House Hotel to watch the World Cup final before coming back home to watch extra time.

It's been lovely to have our first visitor here for the weekend.
