Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

New life ....

.... seems to have sprung up under the frost.

We were threatened rain all day - it held off till this evening.  We popped next door to chat to our neighbours, whose baby is due very soon.  We wanted to let them know our plans for Xmas, and wish them well, as we'll probably be away at the actual time of birth.  Her parents arrived a couple of weeks ago, and having survived through the freeze, are here till February.

I spotted these emerging ?daffs? as we were returning to our apartment, whilst fending off the entry attempts by a little kitten who has recently moved in to a nearby house, and who clearly thinks (s)he lives wherever (s)he likes!

We spent some time doing a bit of cleaning this afternoon - what with feeling so rubbish, and then suffering with the cold weather, it's been neglected.  The apartment was starting to look quite "slobbish" and it would have been distinctly embarrassing if our landlord had needed to enter the property whilst we are away over Christmas.  Looks much better for a bit of dusting and vacuuming.
