A world class Christmas concert last night from the Southwell Festival Voices and Festival Director; enabled by performance sponsors and a full to bursting Nave.

Concert Review

Choral works from the 14 voices were interspersed with poems read by by the superb Clive Mantle, whose presence and delivery present no surprise that he has acted in Game of Thrones.  

Applause was welcome at the end of each of the seven sections of 3 to 5 items.

Highlight memories were:
* the distant sound of the female voices from the East end of the church (Quire) later accompanied by the male voices effervescing from the West end for the first two choral works.

* O come all ye faithful poem which abruptly started by abruptly interrupting the voices starting to sing the carol; there was much laughter from The Nave,
