Titisee

The children made their way to France stopping over at the Titisee in the Black Forest for refreshments. They were going to camp here for the night, but it was unbelievably hot & they decided to push on in the air-conditioned camper to France.

The Titisee was formerly part of a glacier, a well-loved summer but also winter skiing area. I was here in the 1960s for a day skiing with my uncle when we visited friends on our return from a skiing holiday in Austria.
