Tree Sparrows

The ground-level birdbath is back in action after being frozen for days and was popular with the tree sparrows. I was amused to watch this pair, one in the water confidently scrubbing under its oxters, as it were, but the other was hesitant, hopping round the rim as if it didn't quite understand the process. Even when the bath was vacated it waited some time before taking the plunge.

I have backblipped for yesterday as we were away all day, arriving home late, it can be seen here. Still rather tired, comments tomorrow.
